FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How do I pay?
At the end of the day we will send an invoice to your email account. You can then log in an pay with any credit or debit card you would like. 

How do I setup an auto-generated bid?
The auto-generated bid is set up automatically. All you need to do is place a higher bid than the minimum bid required.

What happens if I can't pay within 3 business days?
If you cannot pay within 3 business days, please refrain from bidding. The credit card on file will be charged at the end of the 3 business days and you will still be required to pick up your items during the required removal dates.

What happens if I can't meet the removal requirements?
If you cannot meet the removal requirements please refrain from bidding. If you do not remove your items on time your items will be considered abandoned and resold.

Why does the auction extend 5 minutes when someone places a bid?
If a bid is entered within the last five minutes of the closing of an item, the closing time will be extended by five minutes to ensure sufficient time for bidders to submit their bids.

Can other bidders see my username?
No, your username is masked to all other bidders. Only you can see your full username when you are logged into your account.

Can I view past auctions?
All the closed auction items can be view by clicking the following link : https://www.slapsale.com/ss/#!/closedListings

How can I get a Medical Device Salvage Broker or Salvage Establishment License?
To get a Medical Device Salvage Broker or Salvage Establishment License you need to contact the Texas Dept. of State Health Services. You can find their contact information here:  http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/dmd/

I am tax exempt what do I need to do?

For items exempt for resale purposes: Download this formcomplete all sections and sign the bottom. Must have active Sales & Use Tax Id.
For exempt purchases or non-profit entities: Download this form, complete all sections and sign the bottom.
For agricultural exemptions: Download this form, complete all sections and sign the bottom.

Do you offer shipping services?
We do not offer shipping services.  However we do have a list of shippers other winning bidders have used in the past.  We are not affiliated with any of these shipping company, use at your own risk.  To download the list please click here

Why am I being charged sales tax?
All purchases by buyers with any presence in the State of Texas or ones that are removed from any of our facilities (i.e. not directly shipped) are subject to Texas state sales tax.

If you are tax exempt, please reference our FAQ re: sales tax exemption.
