is the online auction subsidiary of Shattuck LLC. – a liquidation services company
providing auction services, appraisals and asset management for a long list of clients
for nearly 25 years.

History
Greg Shattuck, President and Founder of E-Surplus, learned from the best
at J.C. Harper Auctioneers of San Antonio. In 1987, he branched out on his own to
create an auction company unlike any other. Most auctioneers insist on “cherry-picking”
items that will make them the most money. This creates more problems than it solves,
and leaves you with things you don’t need and can’t sell. Instead, Greg became one
of the first to offer full-house services in which we sell everything: “We’ll sell
your front door if you want it gone.”
Our business dramatically changed in 2000 when we identified the upcoming shift
from live to online auctions. Innovation has allowed us to give smaller consigners
the same power as our largest clients by opening their assets up to bidders on the
web. By hosting auctions online, we reach an exponentially larger number of buyers
that can bid on items on their own time from the comfort of their home or office.
